Getting Ready: A Colorful Start to the Day
Tess started her big day surrounded by excited bridesmaids and family. The bridal party looked stunning in their mix-and-match dresses - a trend we're loving right now. Each bridesmaid chose a unique strap style and color, all complementing the wedding's palette. This personal touch lets everyone's personality shine while still creating a beautiful, cohesive look. It was the perfect way to kick off a day filled with love and style!
Tess looked stunning in her wedding gown. She chose a classic A-line dress with a strapless, sweetheart neckline. The showstopper? A high slit on one side that added a modern twist to the timeless design. It was the perfect mix of traditional and contemporary!
Next, Matthew and his groomsmen wore similar suits, but the groom stood out in a striking navy blue. This touch of color set him apart and complemented Tess's gown beautifully.
First Looks
Tess had two special "first looks" before the ceremony. First, she shared a touching moment with her father - always a tear-jerker! Then came the big reveal with Matthew. Seeing their faces light up when they first saw each other was pure magic. These precious moments before the ceremony are always some of our favorites to get back from the photographer!
Braving the Rain
Tess and Matthew made the most of their photo time after the first look. They took pictures with both their bridal party and family. Then, they did something special - they went outside with a clear umbrella, even though it was raining lightly. This led to some really romantic and unique wedding photos. We are still swooning!
Wedding Ceremony at Westchester Country Club
All morning, we set up a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. It featured two floral archways, both of the same height. We filled them with flowers in pale pink, cream white, and soft peach - Tess and Matthew's chosen wedding colors (that complemented their fall wedding beautifully). The result? A romantic, garden-like setting that was perfect for the happy couple as they exchanged vows in front of their family and friends.
Stolen Moments During Post-Ceremony Portraits
After the ceremony, Tess and Matthew stepped outside for more photos. The light rain continued, adding a romantic touch to their portraits. As the sun set, they enjoyed the magical "golden hour" light - a perfect end to their day.
Meanwhile, our team sprang into action. As soon as the ceremony concluded, we began the swift transformation of the space into a stunning reception venue. It's always a bit of behind-the-scenes magic to turn a ceremony space into a reception area, but it's one of the things we do best!
A Delightful Wedding Reception at Westchester Country Club
As guests returned, they found the space completely transformed. Elegant black and white place cards led them to their tables, where the romantic theme from the ceremony continued.
From there, the centerpieces were ready to wow. We created a variety of designs, each using the wedding's flowers in unique ways. These sat on round tables, surrounded by glowing candles that added a warm, cozy feel. The table settings that surrounded them were also delightful. We used gold textured charger plates and soft mauve napkins. This pop of color against the white tablecloths really made the design special.
My favorite detail? The cake topper. Two cute dog figurines sat atop the two-tier cake, adding a personal touch that made the wedding truly unique.
Dance the Night Away
Once the formal reception finished, it was time to celebrate! The dance floor opened up, and it was packed from the first song to the last. Tess changed into a breathtaking halter jumpsuit which is an on-trend choice right now for brides! Seeing Tess and Matthew surrounded by their loved ones, dancing and laughing, was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do.
As the reception was in full swing, Tess and Matthew snuck away for a special moment. They stepped outside for some nighttime photos. The venue's warm lights glowed behind them, creating a magical backdrop against the dark sky. These quiet moments are sure to add an extra touch of romance to their beautiful wedding album.
