Now, let’s dive into the details!
Getting Ready: All the Bridal Glam
The morning kicked off in one of Oheka Castle's beautiful suites, where our bride Erica got ready surrounded by her best girls. She wore the most gorgeous gown featuring delicate lace details and intricate beading that glistened with every step. It had thin spaghetti straps that gave off that romantic, timeless vibe, and the back? It was sheer lace with floral appliqués and those classic little buttons running down the center. She paired it with stunning floral earrings that added the perfect touch of elegance.
The First Look: A Picture-Perfect Moment
The groom Dietrich didn’t disappoint either. He looked incredibly sharp in a classic black tuxedo, complete with a white shirt and black bow tie. As the anticipation built, you could feel the excitement buzzing in the air. It was the perfect start to an unforgettable day.
For their first look, the Erica and Dietrich met just outside the castle, and it was every bit as dreamy as you’d imagine. When he turned around to see his bride for the first time, the joy and emotion were undeniable. Having this private moment before all the festivities kicked off allowed them to soak in a few quiet minutes together – something I always recommend!
Portraits with the Bridal Party
After that sweet first look, Erica and Dietrich took full advantage of the beautiful castle grounds to capture some portraits together and with their bridal party. I’ve been noticing more and more couples choosing to take photos before the ceremony, and it’s such a smart move! It lets them enjoy more time with their guests later.
The bridesmaids were dressed in deep burgundy velvet gowns, and let me just say, they looked stunning. Each dress had its own unique style, but the rich velvet fabric tied everything together beautifully. Their bouquets were filled with burgundy, blush, pink, and a hint of greenery tying the look together flawlessly. The groomsmen dressed in light gray suits with white dress shirts, and burgundy ties (with a subtle pattern) matching the bridesmaids’ dresses perfectly.
A Gorgeous Wedding Ceremony at Oheka Castle
Now, let’s talk about the ceremony because, wow, it was a showstopper! We set up a breathtaking floral arch as the backdrop, lavishly adorned with greenery and flowers in shades of blush pink, deep burgundy, peach, and soft coral. Florals and lush foliage all intertwined, giving it that lush, organic vibe. The organic design added a more natural feel, and with the castle's elegant fireplace as the backdrop, it was magic. Plus, to add a little extra romance, we laid out a white aisle runner with burgundy rose petals scattered on top. It made everything feel extra special as our bride walked down the aisle.
The Reception: A Blend of Luxury and Warmth
The reception space was where we really got to shine, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything came together. We adorned the tables with lush floral arrangements in shades of burgundy, blush, and green, which paired perfectly with the tall, sleek candleholders and taper candles that added just the right amount of height and warmth. Gold accents were sprinkled throughout – think gold chairs and charger plates – to bring in that touch of luxury, while textured ivory linens kept things feeling soft and sophisticated.
Each place setting featured a burgundy velvet napkin (you have got to love that texture!), a gold-rimmed charger plate, and a menu card that matched the wedding’s color scheme – because you know I love a cohesive look! The lighting was gorgeous and created that warm, inviting vibe. With candlelight flickering and chandeliers casting the most beautiful shadows on the ceiling, the room was absolutely glowing.
Let’s not forget about the cake either – it was a stunning multi-tiered masterpiece with intricate sugar flowers cascading down the front. We added a bit of gold detailing to tie in with the rest of the décor, making it a true centerpiece!
As the night wore on Erica switched into a trendy, strapless white mini dress that was made for dancing. It was fun, stylish, and the perfect way to close out the celebration on a high note.
